We are now providing an Adult (18+) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Assessment Service for patients enrolled at KMC. This requires an initial appointment with a KMC Doctor to determine if an ADHD assessment is appropriate for you. If so, they will provide further information and perform some baseline medical checks. This appointment will be charged as a normal GP consultation.
An ADHD assessment involves a detailed history taking and completing standardised questionnaires. Your information and responses will firstly be reviewed by Dr Melissa Austen, who has completed additional training in the assessment and diagnosis of adult ADHD in Primary Care.
A 90 minute video consultation will then be scheduled with Dr Austen. Having an assessment consultation does not guarantee a diagnosis of ADHD will be made. However, if an ADHD diagnosis is confirmed, additional follow up appointments with An ADHD trained Registered Nurse in the practice and again with Dr Austen for follow-up will be required.
The cost of an ADHD assessment including follow up appointments is $1215.00. If an ECG is required, the cost is $1314.00. We require that payment is made prior to an assessment consultation.
